The suburb of Bethlehem, so named by missionaries after the Maori Wars, is six kilometres west of the city of Tuaranga. It is situated along the edge of the Tauranga Harbour and Wairoa River. Nearby is the exciting Waimarino Adventure Park, which offers kayaking, canoeing and a theme park.
