what I expected

I agree with other reviews that the hotel is indeed dated, however it was exactly what I has expecting for the money we paid. The facilities were adequate and comfortable and the staff very helpful. Was extremely quiet, in fact it felt like we were the only ones in the complex at times. Close to shopping centre and restaurants, etc.

The staff did mention they had recently taken over the place, so perhaps changes may be afoot? A coat of paint, new carpets and cosmetic upgrades would do wonders.

I was very happy with the place, and will stay again if we go down. We have stayed in mahy places throughout the country of varying prices, and I must say on the plus side, this motel provides tea, coffee and drinking chocolate as well as soap and shampoo. Other more expensive places we have stayed do not offer these small extras - so well done.

Tired hotel , convenient location

The location was good , but the rooms are very dated, but if you want a cheap night's sleep rather than a fabulous experience it's OK . It was quiet considering it was centrally located.

However, next time I'd consider paying more and staying elsewhere.
