Basic but OK

A few facilities missing and the bed was a bit soft, but the pricing was at the lower end , so real no complaints. I found the staff to be friendly.

Whilst clean neat tidy and in a great position close to shops eateries and main rd, this unit was not warm... wall heater not functioning and oil heater very slow to warm up. Heater in bathroom blew only frosty air. No power point in bathroom for hairdryer etc or for smaller portable fan heater that was supplied obviously because main heating did not work.

Map supplied by owner but with a short sharp 20 sec explanation of where the sights were.

No breakfast, cooked or otherwise, as was advertised and PAID ( $42 NZD ) for. Also poor instructions for telephone use and much trouble in getting an outside line. Overall was the worst experience we had in NZ. Sorry to say it was Cold, impersonal and far below the standards we found everywhere else in the South Island.
